Q:What's different between a JetRails Dev Environment and a Production Environment?

Our development environments are provisioned with the same configs as production servers for true 1-to-1 testing and UAT. System requirements and recommendations have been battle-tested and proven to maximize speed, performance & security. All traffic for dev environments must be routed through Cloudflare.

Q:What's the difference between this and a dedicated server?

Both options are single-tenant, but these dev environments are more economical for development purposes. However, dedicated servers are often better for staging purposes. That’s because staging servers can mirror the resources of your production servers, giving you the opportunity to load-test and determine true traffic capabilities of your live/production environment. Staging servers can also be turned into live production servers, where these dev environments are not engineered to be used in production.

Q:Can these dev environments meet very specific configuration requirements?

Generally speaking, yes, they can! For requests containing customized configurations and specific version requirements, please contact your JetRails Account Manager.

Q:Does JetRails provide additional resources for Production Environments?

Yes! Production accounts are also set up with features like web application firewalling, uptime monitoring, frequent off-servers backups, and services like dedicated account managers. Such services are not included with dev environments.

Q:What is JetRails support availability?

JetRails provides 24/7/365 support by phone, ticket, and e-mail.
